JE Podfic

My dear podficcers and artists, submission deadling is fast approaching. You have until Sunday to get your finished works to me. Please let me know asap if this is going to be a problem - I fear don't have time right now to go chasing people up.

Also, for anyone who still has a voice left, sign ups have opened for next year's pan-fandom podficbigbang challenge. The submission deadline for this challenge is not 'til the end of May, so that's plenty of time to throw something (or things) together :D
 

PODFIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENTS

First, this week is Podfic Awareness Week, and the pod_aware community has been collecting people's thoughts, podcasts, and podfics centred around a specific theme for each day. There's been some excellent discussion so far - myself, becquinho and randomicicle recorded a podcast for it today, which should be up in the next 24 hours!

So if you're at all interested, or want to share your thoughts regarding podfic, either as a reader or a listener, go ahead and link your posts to the comm! The more the merrier ^_^

Podfic, by nature of its portability, often gets very little in the way of feedback. If you can spare five minutes to let a podficcer know you've appreciated their work, it will go a very, very long way <3


Fan artists love feedback and podficcers are no different. Feedback can motivate us, inspire our muse and help us create more of out art. However feedback on podfic can be rather light. To find out how you can help increase feedback for podfic check out pod_aware on LJ or DW.

This is your first Big Bang check-in post! Let us know how you're doing - about how much of the fic you have recorded, how much editing remains to be done, etc. Feel free to vent if you need to, this is a caring space ^_^

We're about 7 weeks out from the due date, so there's still plenty of time left to get things done. Still, if you have anything you'd rather not disclose in a comment (they're not being screened), feel free to PM me.

We are still rather lacking in artists, so if there's anyone you know who might be bribed willing to knock together a cover or two, please send them by this post to see what fics are still up for grabs ^_^

Hey guys!

As you may have seen mentioned on the Secret Theme challenge masterpost, our next challenge is going to be a podfic big bang :D/. I'm still working out the details, minimum time counts, etc, but since there aren't all that many long fics in this fandom, I thought it might be an idea for people to discuss which fics they'd like to read and/or what they'd like to see read, just so we're not treading on each other's toes with anything? ^_^

And also, I'm in discussion with the mods over at pinjuice about possibly running a collaboration - writers and podficcers paired up and working together to produce brand new stories, similar to the recent pod_together project. In this case it would be exclusively Pin fic, but remember that does include gen BFFery as well ;D.

My question, would anyone here be willing to participate in such a collaboration, were it to go ahead?

(note, it probably won't run til next year, when JE Hols and K-X have wrapped ^_^)

Apologies in advance for any minor sound problems, as my mic isn’t exquisite, and for subjecting you to my voice for quite an extended period of time; the beauty of the fiction should more than make up for it ;) This is one of my very favorite works and has also incurred many invigorating battles with technology for me, so I do hope you enjoy. ♥
