And funnily enough, I'd never noticed the flecks of South Africa in your accent before. It's quite charming ^_^

The flecks come and go - I haven't had my own South African accent since I was four. It comes back at odd times, though. A friend's ex-boyfriend once guessed my accent by saying I sounded like a cross between American and Australian, which meant it had to be South African!

I hear it mostly in your 'r's. But then I had knew some people from South Africa back in Kanazawa, and they mostly sounded like Brits but for the occasional inflection. I still reckon Kiwis and South Africans sound more similar to each other than either do to Australian XD
